Many times you need extra therapy to fully recover from an injury or illness. Bayshore Medical Center offers full-service inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services to help adults and children function at their best. We can also help patients who experience pain, disease or delay in development.
Our rehabilitation services are tailored for each individual and include:
- Educational programs
- Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
- Occupational therapy
- Physical therapy and physical medicine
- Rehabilitation medicine
- Respiratory therapy
- Speech therapy
Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
Our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit offers private rooms located near therapy areas as well as a therapeutic garden, automobile stimulator and a kitchen to help patients learn skills to reintegrate into their home and community. We provide more intensive rehabilitation than skilled nursing or long-term care facilities. At a minimum, three hours of therapy are provided to each patient 5 days a week.
Outpatient Rehabilitation Services
Outpatient therapy is offered for those who require rehabilitation without a hospital stay. Our physical, occupational and speech therapists treat the after-effects of stroke, joint pain, sports injury, head, neck and body injury.
Therapy sessions last 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on patient need, two to three times per week.
